As of September 1st, the Southeastern Wisconsin Herding Dog Rescue will no 
longer be operational. After 25 years of giving her time to dogs in need, 
Director Chris Tresch and her husband are moving to Pennsylvania due to a 
job transfer. This is a sad time for our organization, but one that brings 
to mind the many dogs that have found wonderful loving families through 
our organization. We thank the many people who have supported us through 
the years. 
 

Several of the volunteers and foster families from 
the Southeastern Wisconsin Herding Dog Rescue will continue to serve local 
shelties in need by working in partnership with Little Buddies Rescue in 
Mukwonago, WI. If you are looking to add a dog to your family, we suggest 
that you visit the websites of Little Buddies or any of these local 
rescues that serve herding breeds:
